Polymeric and inorganic wastewater treatment

Water Treatment refers to the process of removing contaminated and polluted material that is released into the environment with the aim of making waste water cleaner and preserving human health and the climate.
Profiltra Italia has dedicated its attentions to the development of processes aimed at the recovery and purification of surface water from groundwater, the sea, industrial discharges or MSW landfills.
The separation process adopted by Profiltra Italia Srl uses semi-permeable polymeric composite film (thin film) membranes (based on fluorinated polymers PVDF, PTFE and PES PS polysulphones) and inorganic ceramic tubular membranes (with filtering layer (Al, Si, Ti, Zr oxides, silicates and zeolites) on the surface of porous ceramic supports, stainless steel tubular membranes, TiO2) installed in advanced cross-flow dead-end filtration systems.
In recent decades, membrane technology has renewed an important part of fluid separation technology; thanks to the almost total absence of chemicals, the relative low energy costs together with the ease of running the process.

The main areas in which we operate for the treatment of process fluids are:

  • Pharmaceutical and Food & Beverage *** sector
  • Industrial Waste/Water
  • Desalination of brackish and saline water
